Why this newsletter?

For nearly two decades, I am working on the backbone of US modern infrastructure: power systems. I’ve engineered high-voltage substations, FACTS systems, HVDCs, and large synchronous condensers for mission-critical projects across the U.S.A.

But when I close my engineering notebooks, I open the markets.

Finance is my hobby — not in the casual sense, but in the same deliberate way I approach system design: with structure, patterns, and data. For years, I’ve quietly built and refined custom stock scans and volatility-based indicators, mostly to keep my own edge sharp and disciplined.
